  1. Exactly. US importers have to pass the extra costs to the consumers one way or the other to stay afloat. Washing machines that is tariff paid gone up $50 in price, but dryers that is not tariffed gone up $80 in price. Is there anyone buying washers only and not dryers ? Hence the rippling effect.
