@andyfox6943 The point is not about you forgiving or forgetting, or about her doing well. The point is : is she happy ? I am happy when my ex is happy, because I love her. Very much. Do you love your ex ? Or you only love your children ?
The point is not what Jesus wants. It's about what we want. I want joy, peace, love, life, hope, and grace, not sorrow, revenge, hate, lifelessness, hopelessness, and insecurity.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@davejones9469 You think Dao gives a shit ? You think the Chinese give a shit ? You think I give a shit ?
No, no, and no. What happens must happen. It is inevitable. Dao is inevitable, unstoppable, unavoidable, and unalterable, like the Will of God.
Don't forget. Behind every danger is some blessing awaiting, and behind every blessing is time for caution. Do you understand why the US stock markets and house markets are hitting record highs while nearly a million Americans have died of COVID and over a million cases a day ? It is really simple. The Chinese are buying.
The Chinese are smart investors. Behind the danger of high unemployment and high inflation is the blessing that those old, weak, and useless are dead, the government saves money on pensions and welfare, the young and beautiful get their inheritance early, and there are more jobs than there are people willing to work. So, buy, buy, buy.
See the way a Daoist think ? Always positive, aggressive, and optimistic. Do what is inevitable. Let be but never let go. Never go with the flow but make the inevitable inevitable.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@davejones9469 Atrocity ??? What atrocity ? Do you mean not all those killed at Tienenmen Square were criminals, that some of them may be innocent ? Sure, I'll give you that. That's called collateral damage. It's inevitable. That's Dao.
LBut look at it this way : for over 30 years since the Tienenmen Square justice, there is no more American paid protesting in China, except in Hong Kong, China.
In Hong Kong, the Chinese government could easily have killed a few thousand of the illegal protesters and end the American supported riots. But they didn't. Why ? It is because China has given Hong Kong 50 years of one country two systems. So, according to the law of the land, no criminals were killed in Hong Kong. You can try, but you won't be able to find such intelligent and civilized government anywhere in the world. Even countries like France, hundreds would have lost their lives in riots of this sort or another. It's inevitable.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@lookupthereupinthetrees9860 You are 100% correct. A person's ideas are not the person which has a physical form, limitations, and aspirations. A person is a substance with limited life. An idea, a spirit, or a soul has no physical existence. It has no limited life, no aspersions, and no death, just like the data in our hard drive like you said. Lao Tzu identified these data as Yin Yang, just a bunch of zeros and ones, that's the effects caused by Dao, the One that cannot be named, the Alpha and the Omega
For example, before a carpenter set forth to gather the material for the table he wanted to construct, he, or she, must have the idea, the form, the concept of a table in his mind. This idea, form , or concept can be taught to others by words of mouth or written down in drawings and descriptions so if he kick the bucket, someone else can still construct the table he has in his mind. With all the plans, drafts, and models made of the Titanic, the ship can be reconstructed, and the idea of the Titanic can survive even though the ship is sunk. Lao Tzu had written a book, but great teachers like Confucius, Buddha, Socrates, and Jesus didn't even write a book. By words of mouth their ideas transformed the world thousands of years after their death. Their spirits are immortal. Mine too. And yours too. Ten thousand years later people may read our comments and become enlightened by us, by our spirits.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

Our senses are not gateways. They are one way passages, only in, no out. Our mind reacts to outside info and respond with emotions followed by motions. We may respond with an angry emotion and start to punch someone. To stop all our senses is to be dead, which we all must go eventually, just a matter of time. Daoism is about living a joyful life. We can do this by applying filters to the constant bombardments of outside info. Dao allows us to be focused and persistent, like water. We live out all our hearts desires to the fullest, positively, actively, constructively, and optimistically, never go with the flow and never let go.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

Dao is not Nature. Nature has shapes and forms, and is ever changing. Nature has its beginning and its end. Dao is metaphysical, unobservable, and unknowable by humans. Dao is the Alpha and the Omega of heaven and earth, and everything in between. Dao is eternal, unchanging, and Dao is everywhere, in animals, in plants, in bricks, in poops and pees. Our universe will end one day, but Dao will never end. Big difference.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

-
@davejones9469 Nature has no beginning or end ? You need to explain that to those scientists who believed in big bang. But if something changes, it logically has a beginning and an end. Dao does not change, and therefore it is eternal, no beginning and no end.
If you are talking about other universes, previous universes, and black holes, well, those are not Nature, are they ? If they are not physical but metaphysical, they are unobservable and unknowable by humans.
Jesus is a human. So, he would not know or understand those things, and he never pretended that he did.
All that about beginning and end of Nature is not that important for no human would witness them anyways. What is important though is that what is natural is inevitable, unstoppable, unavoidable, and unalterable.
It is therefore futile to try to be good, to be right, or to be virtuous. There is no good without evil, no right without wrong, and no virtue without vice. They are all parts of the One and the same Dao. They are inseparable, interrelated, intertwined, interdependent, and necessary parts of the whole. It's Yin Yang in Chinese.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

-
@davejones9469 O.K. I can accept that the black holes, the pararell universes and all are parts of the universe. But, as long as something changes, like you have insisted, that something must have a beginning and an end. It's that simple.
Unless. I'm giving you a way out here. Unless that something is metaphysical, unobservable, and unknowable to humans, like God. In that case, there is no more argument because we can't argue over something we don't know, can we ?
Dao is like that. We believe Dao exist because we believe we exist, heaven and earth exist, and everything in between exist. According to the law of cause and effect, everything that exist is caused to exist, and we call this cause Dao.
You can call it God if you like, but this cannot be a personal God with desires and an unstable personality. That personal God is nothing but a superstition.
I'll add another eye opening observation for your information : what we observe is not real, what is real we cannot observe. For example, we can observe an apple, but we cannot observe the elements, the DNA, or the life in that object which made the object a real apple and not just an image of an apple. So never mind an image of a black hole, or an image of gravity, which is nothing more than a two dimensional snap shot, not even a three dimensional representation. They are not real. What is real is what is in them to make them real, which we humans cannot observe. We call that Dao.
道可道,非常道
If you can describe it, it is not real Dao.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

-
@davejones9469 Exactly. You used to think the earth was the center of the universe. We didn't. 5,000 years ago, in the book of transformation, the I-Ching, the beginning of our universe had already been outlined clearly. First, there is the no limit, no shape and no form, the Dao. Then the Dao is transformed into everything, The process of transformation continues by way of Yin Yang, and so on, and so on.
Expressed mathematically by Lao Tzu some 3,000 years later was : from 0 comes 1, Yin Yang; 0 and 1 makes 2; 0,1, and 2 makes 3; 3 makes heaven and earth and everything in between. Any computer student understands this fact.
Back to the question of what is reality, the lesson I taught you last time that what we observe is not real, what is real we humans cannot observe. When you read these words, you are observing the black and white letters. But any computer student can tell you those are just 0's and 1's, which you don't get to observe, and even if you do, you wouldn't understand. No computer expert can understand how a computer is brought about, the hardware, the software, the marketing, financing, labor management, ..... that naturally and inevitable put the computer in place for you to observe. It just happened. What happens must happen. It is unstoppable, unavoidable, unalterable. You can only accept it and learn how to love it. Like Jesus taught us : Love God. That is the one and only commandment Jesus gave us.
So you think you know shit ? Let me ask you : What gravity is ? Not what is gravity because anyone can have a different definition. But what gravity is, or what God is ? You see ? No one knows. No human can see gravity, smell gravity, touch gravity, taste gravity, or hear gravity. But we all believe gravity exist. By the same way, we believe Dao exist.
Who is a hippy here ? You ? Not me ? Lao Tzu was not a hippy. Hippies thought Daoism is a passive, negative, and pessimistic way of life. They are wrong. Daoism is about living actively, positively, and optimistically. Those who understood Dao live and enjoy every moment of their lives, worry free. They would understand that behind any danger is some blessing awaiting, and in every blessing is a time for caution. Daoist doesn't let go. Daoist let be. Daoist doesn't flow. Daoist strive by utilizing the inevitable.
You said bye. That means you are ready to give up. A Daoist understands that most if not all failures are people giving up too soon. The strength of water is in its persistency, and never give up. That is how water can cut through mountains and the toughest rocks. So, my advice to you is : enjoy and never give up.
Many have tried to kill Jesus, and many have tried to kill God. They all failed because they gave up. You may be the first one in human history to succeed if you don't give up. May be is not inevitable though. It is wishful thinking, see ?
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@parasamesar1925 This video was made by people who don't understand Chinese. Take the COVID-19 pandemic as an example, did the world let go and laid flat? Yes. Did China let go? No. That is why China has less than 5,000 deaths and is still persistently insisting on zero tolerance. USA has over a million deaths, with one quarter of the population of China. See the difference and why?
Lao Tzu said the highest virtue is like water. Have you ever seen water let go and go with the flow of others? No. Water is always focused, insistent, persistent, and create its own flow. That's the virtue of water. Letting be is not letting go. Letting be is allowing all concerns to survive without having to surrender, fail, or be defeated. Have you seen water not letting be? Never.
With marriages, if one would let be and not let go, the marriage and the love will survive. Even when the marriage must be broken up, the love would still survive, and there should not be any remorse, guilt, or pain for as long as there is love.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

Daoism is not a pessimistic, lay back, and passive approach to life. It is active, aggressive, and optimistic. Dao is the Alpha and the Omega of heaven, earth, and everything in between. Dao is everywhere. It is in animals, in plants, in bricks, and in poops and pees. Dao is not empty or void but is full and beautiful. Those in Dao enjoy life fully every minute and every second of their life, actively, aggressively, and optimistically. They understand behind every danger is a blessing waiting, and behind every blessing is a time to be cautious. Love those who are not loving. Trust those who are not trustworthy. Whenever able, give evil a chance to correct itself. What is natural is inevitable, and needs no extra effort. Let be and never let go.

@andyfox6943 Exactly. Happiness is subjective. When my ex is happy, I am happy, because I love her. Very much. Of course, one can only love others when one loved oneself first. If you are happy when she is miserable, or if you are not happy when she is happy, then you don't love her. It is a very subjective thing. It's that simple.
We, all things, are born from God. Jesus is no exception. Jesus is a man. Jesus lived and died 2,000 years ago, crucified by his own Jewish folks for blasphemy he never committed. But Jesus is alive today, in spirit, which is in his teachings recorded in history books called the Gospels. Jesus told us to love God. Do you love God ?
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@ally5524 That is being silly. When you love someone, that someone is always in your mind and your best wishes, may it be your parents, your kids, or your wife. Love needs not be ended. If you don't love someone, staying together makes no sense. That applies not only with wives, but also with parents, kids, friends, or business partners. The point is when two people love one another, they want the best for one another. Sometimes, one partner may want to leave and find a different partner in order to be truly happy, then, not staying together is a good choice. Do not confuse your love with your obligations, your vow, or your perceived social status.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@rizkunisnator OMG !!! Another one. Has anyone noticed these cry babies are all man ? No woman would be so silly. Why ? First, it is because of birth control giving women an unfair advantage over their men. Second, equal pay allows women to make more than men giving bosses who can afford to pay more pay it towards women and have the moral high ground as well as having more women under their control. Third, technological advancement making labour work worth less than make ups, hairdos, and soft voices. Fourth, the legal system rewards the women and punishes the men in a break up, with or without children involved.
So, since women have more fantasies and vain, they are now capable of choosing, manipulating, and replacing their men at their pleasure, and feel good, right, and successful with each one of them. Finally, women are much more capable in handling pain, suppressing pain, or diverting or redirecting pain than men. No woman would accept being seen as a cry baby because that hurts their ego. They would rather cheat, blame the men, or punish them regardless. That's just being natural. Both men and women enjoy varieties. See ?
The logical advice for these cry baby men is go tryout some varieties. Pay if you have to, which is the case for most men. That helps to forgive and forget. Above all, take care of yourself, and love God.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

The truth is no one can find the present. The moment you recognised something you thought is the present, that is already the past. To live in the present is fooling yourself. We must live towards what we believe is a better future, and forget our past and our most recent past which is the closest we can get to the present.
Second, there is no good or evil. Good is not good, and evil is not evil. That's Yin Yang. Yin and Yang are interrelated, interdependent, intertwined, inseparable and necessary parts of the whole, like the null set of any set. Thinking something or someone is good or evil, and seeking the good and killing the evil is the source of all suffering. So, don't try to be good and don't try to be evil because both of these are meaningless.
Human lives are short. So every suffering is short and immaterial in the grand scale of reality. Live according to your desires and enjoy every moment of your life. Don't worry, be happy.
One positive word of advice for my friends : what happens must happen, it's inevitable.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@AYVYN What's best ??? What ? You see, there is no good, better, or best the same way there is no bad, worse, and worst. There is only Yin and Yang, and they are one, interdependent on each other, inseperable from each other, and intertwined with each other. To give up control is to be pushed around by others. Taoism is about always in control, always focused and persistent. Create your own flow, and never be swapped away by the flow of others. Water always follow its own flow and never the flow of others. See ?
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@pureenergy4578 I never said anything about God, and Jesus too never said anything about God. You know why ? It is because Jesus is a man. He is not God. God, like gravity, is metaphysical, unobservable, and unknowable by humans. No human can know what God is or what gravity is. It's that simple.
Dao is also metaphysical, unobservable and unknowable by humans. That is what Lao Tzu said in the first sentence of his book : 道可道 非常道 Dao that can be described is not the eternal Dao. Dao is inevitable just as God, gravity, and death are inevitable. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. All matters including humans originates from Dao and will eventually return to Dao. Matters, not spirits, please do not be confused, okay ?
Be like water. Water creates its own flow and never follow the flow of others. The focus and persistence, let be but never let go, nature of water makes life possible and the inevitable become inevitable.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@magentapurple8823 Quantum physics is a fairytale and a joke. Einstein and I do not believe in quantum physics. We believe in the law of cause and effects but not in luck, chance, or accidents.
Death is a continuous process and not a moment in time which is just an illusion. Every cell in our body died and replaced every 7 years. No part of you is you seven years ago. You are continuously dying. When your soul leave your physical body, you are you no more. Your soul at that point in time is totally disconnected with all energy sources on earth while your physical body returns to become earth : ashes to ashes, dust to dust. There is neither you in the earth nor you in space. It is just like a butterfly is neither an egg nor a caterpillar. Like a busted soap bubble is air and not a bubble any longer. It is just as ridiculous to say your soul is you as to say the air molecules which were once upon a time in a soap bubble are soap bubbles. It's that simple.
Look at it in a different angle. Jesus died 2,000 years ago but Jesus is alive today in spirit which is in his teachings recorded in history books called the Gospels. Jesus never returned from his death as a man unless you believe in fairytales, and his teachings is not Jesus, not a man. There is Jesus in history, but there is no Jesus today. See ? Similarly, my writings here is my spirit, my soul, but it is not me. My writings and the ideas it carries willl continue to live after my death, presumably indefinitely, aka eternally.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@westsidesmitty1 Jerusalem has not fallen, and Jesus never left. So no. Jesus has never prophesied because he would not pretend he can speak for God. Prophecies are blasphemies, and prophets are blasphemer. No human knows God, the Words of God, or the Will of God, not even Jesus because he is a human. It's that simple. Jesus is not Christ, and Jesus is not a Christian. Jesus, Einstein, and I believed in God. We do not believe in or follow any religion, any superstition, or any political movement.
Jesus is a Daoist. The teachings of Jesus and that of Lao Tzu have no conflict but consistent with each other. For example, Lao Tzu said be nice to those who are not nice, and trust those who are no trustworthy. Jesus said love thy enemies See ?

@VBM1 Don't know which books you were referring to. If it is the Bible, the OT, Jesus and Lao Tzu both contradict such superstitions. Lao Tzu is 500 years older than Jesus. Jesus most likely learned from the teachings of Lao Tzu. That is why Jesus never described God, the Will of God, or the Way of God. What God, Words of God, or Will (aka Way, aka Dao) of God cannot be described by humans or they would not be the eternal God, Words of God, or Dao (of God).
If you meant Darwinian Evolution, that one is just a fairytale. If you meant science, it needs to be falsifiable and therefore not eternal. What contradiction ?
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.
