For a decision so critical to the future of the UK, the whole Brexit referendum was handled extremely badly. It was never clear beforehand that the vote was binding or advisory (as usual with this political instrument ). Also having had a UK referendum quite recently (Scotland ) where 16 year olds were allowed to vote, why wasn't this also allowed for the Brexit voters? It was all so badly handled. Very little hard evidence presented by politicians. Huge error.
