  2.  @mikearmstrong8483  indeed, they bridged a gap for about five minutes, but even so, good service. Historians know that they were never the only aircraft on the island. It's a bit like the old Paris taxi myth in WW1 and the miracle on the Marne. It helps to colour the history.
