Very rarely are there famines and other economic failures in captialism, but they are distressingly common in socialism. The only people who starve in capitalist countries are the mentally unwell who can't fend for themselves, not whole swaths of the society.

  18. IIRC. GE wasn't spending of "its" (shoarholder) money on Durathon, but it was using "Green energy" grants from the 08 Stumulus funding. They pulled the plug when the federal money ran out. I leave it up to you to decide if the whole thing was a scam or not.
