  1.  @thoughtsuponatime847  That is kind of the opposite exaggeration. He did alter the historical path of pretty much all of Eurasia. Like the "Mothra" of butterfly effects.

  3. He really wasn't a very nice person, but he lived in a time that wasn't very nice. LIkewise "Christopher Columbus" wasn't and his achievements led to untold misery. But up until recently he was venerated in the US until our national narrative expanded to include the people that lost out. Might drink some fermented horse milk in honor of ol' Gengie this March.

  4. He did leave a mark on history, vastly outsized for the resources he started with. But the Mongol Empire was just one of many in world history. He did not really change the course of all of human history.
