@tomatozaphim9781 The difference is that by that time, the vast majority of the civilian population had been out of the cities for years due to Allied bombing campaigns. There were comparatively few people left in Berlin, or Aachen etc. Even when Hitler ordered "fortress cities" to be defended to the last man, he didn't force the civilians to stay.

'Most Destructive in Recent History' Yeah, that is BS. This is one small city. You don't even have to go into "recent history". Russia has indiscriminately (for real) and for no practical military reason, destroyed many cities and towns in Ukraine for 2 years now. Upwards of 50,000 civilian deaths. Where is the outrage? This response is really to culmination of years of provocation by Palestinians, not just Oct 7th. Considering Iranian action and support led directly to the current situation in Gaza, they really have no right to complain, unless... oh yeah. Their team is getting its ass kicked. So I guess whine on. Likewise the Taliban is just jumping on the bandwagon to get some #Metoo points.
