@Ivan.Wright As explained in the video (watch it again) this is just a pattern prediction algorithm that has no understanding of the words it is processing. A cat at least understands what things are and has a context for them (prey, threat, friend, water, obstacle, etc.), even if it has no words for them. By that measure, it is far more intelligent than the most advanced AI to date.

Not really. A cat or kitten quickly learns that the cat in the mirror is its own reflection and won't react to it anymore. The human's are being spoofed by a simulation of speech. Your analogy would only be true if people were fooled by playing back their own voices.
