Not only is this wrong, any court ruling can be cited as precedent, I'd rather not take legal advice from someone who can't even spell.

Carbon credits didn't burn any cash, it just "appropriated" it to those who produced nothing useful. Likewise it did nothing at all for CO2.

He is an equal opportunity roaster.
33
He'd have to be wearing a pastel t-shirt though.
29
Funny... in a depressing and terrifying kind of way.
28
Sadly, its all factual reporting.
20
A case study in how terrifying the phrase "I'm from the government and I'm here to help" is.
12
Probably not. This was someone taking advantage of an overvalued market to make a quick buck. It has nothing to do with the tech.
9
@meganegan5992 Except that isn't true. Its a meaningless drop in the bucket of gasoline.
9
he would loose a quarter of his audience and 90% of his "guests".

Always has been.

You can often "buy" a house while paying less per month than an apt. and you get the benefit of equity value instead of giving it to your landlord. If you can't then you should move somewhere where you can.
6
Of life.
5
@rejvaik00 That is wrong. go look up what the term "precedent" means and I don't mean look at Wikipedia or your toiletpaper law degree.
5
@antonyjh1234 ironically blurted: "Because fundamentally people don't understand money"
5
Con men and other criminals have often worked together to score marks.
5
Because most banks are predatory these days.
5
Just dial up the gain on your empathy and maybe get out of your mom's basement more.
4
Yeah. this whole topic is amusing, but its like the whole fusion industry, "always 20 years away."
4
He is a fan.
4
Thanks for reminding me to not look at the comments.
3
@jagolago-bob If you don't have rules and laws allowing buying influence, you will still have buying influence.
3
@maht0x Roy Bean would agree with you.
3
@Hanoth You don't understand what either of those terms mean. Sit down.
3
Private equity is the ultimate expression of "rent seeking". It provides no real utility in the markets because poorly run companies would eventually exit the market and liquidate anyway without it. Much like all of "modern finance", its a mechanism for a relative few to siphon wealth from the economic efforts of others. And, Oh dear... you know something is truly rotten when it has me writing like a Marxist.
3
Bitcoin. The grift that launched a thousand grifts...
3
@karl0ssus1 English not your first language?
3
Pretty easy when the material just writes itself.
3
And sometimes they make irrational decisions because they are assholes.
3
Why are my subtitles in Arabic? lol

Drugs r' bad m'kay...

@1:05:00 "Never going to see anything like this again..." Oh... just wait until the real story of the Satoshi Nakamoto comes out. FTX was just a scam of a scam.
2
@mipmipmipmipmip-v5x Still false and still what the "billable hours" to the mfg or insurance co. is, not what they cost unless the dealer is just doing dealer stuff.
2
@mipmipmipmipmip-v5x Actually read the articles, not the headlines. The search for it and apply critical thinking.
2
I'll stagflation for $33 Trillion Patrick.
2
Sometimes "soft power" is not so soft.
2
If a scam scams a scam , i s it still a scam?
2
@operator8014 Until it decides it wants to.
1
@IaintTheHerb At least pron is ah.... useful.

I see you failed your community college economic class.
1
@iknklst Part of the CIA's mission is to do fantastically criminal stuff.
1
Savage. lol
1
I guess you don't know US history very well. It was literally founded on exploiting immigrants, voluntary or otherwise. European colonization probably would not have been possible at the time otherwise.
1
@boristheamerican2938 Not always. But, yeah.
1
Its a US election year, and the boomers are still big chunk of the electorate. Doing a thing that is perceived as keeping those darn kids in line, and against the "PRC" is an easy way to pander to them is a no-brainer, on several levels.
1
@rejvaik00 The term you are looking for is called "supremacy". This does not mean that any lower court can not set case president, only that the feds can overrule it. You do remember the knucklehead OP's original claim right?
1
"All handbags are the same." You're playing with fire mister! lol @20:38 "If the FTC is only interested in deals that are bad for the business..." Oh, that boat has already sailed, just look at how financial regulation has been weaponized against the firearms industry.
1
LOL @9:20.
