  1. The tax sale was by the county. The demo order was from the city. Two separate bureaucracies that probably don't communicate and have no legal obligation to do so. Sorry, but she is SOL for not doing her own due diligence in researching the property. This is why real estate agents and lawyers make the big bucks on your sale. Besides the fact that this is their job, when stuff like this happens, legal liability falls back on them.

  2. You never know various overlapping jurisdictions are going to have things arranged. Not every place has it consolidated into one. This is the danger novice house flippers aren't told about and this one got bit.

  7. The house would still be there if she had actually occupied it. She would have stopped the crew and gotten a number to call to cancel the demo order since the property had changed owners. Watch the video again. She didn't even know the house had been torn down for TWO WEEKS. She obviously bought it to flip or turn into a low income rental.
