When I was deployed to Afghanistan I worked with USAID and other NGOs to help them do projects in the country and saw all the great work that only they could do and "the waste" that happened was mostly just because of how hard that kind of work is. I had finally gotten clear of my previous career, and applied for a USAID job 48hrs. before the... chainsaw fell. Life is "funny" like that.

  18. This wasn't Trump. This was The Trump Campaign Inc. All the political operators and marketeers they could hire to conduct a psyops campaign on the weak points they calculated on Harris. So they stoked the fears of "all those trans..." Just like in 2020 you had them run up a lot of Q pedo and "save the children" on SM because they wanted to use it against Biden. Yes those short clips are the most effective on those likely to consider voting for Trump.

  29. The worst possible idea I can imagine. Going far-left (even further) and single issue (get Trump) will alienate the moderate middle and issue voters needed to win. Trump won because democrats went too left and incompetent, not because he won a "mandate". Also pointless. Democrats need to smoke the mid-terms and if they do, they can remove Trump from office and then a mop can beat Vance. To do that, see above.

The evil "genius" of his campaign staff was that they were able to appeal to groups that normally would never be in a same electorate base. Old whyte people, black men, anti-abortion karens, etc. It didn't help that the dems presented the perfect easy target for them. Its not a surprise to any one who is in one of those targeted and exposed groups. This is not new at all.

Its the angry masses of poor and "low-class" mostly white and mostly male, but scrapes up enough brown and women who are also scared of change that voted for Trump. This is not new though. America has always been a contradiction between its ideals and its reality.
