  2. There are 10, 000 something sats and various big bits of junk in orbit (along with millions of bits of debris). While all of them are visible and cataloged. That doesn't mean all of them are what they seem. There are almost surely things in orbit that are dormant or otherwise discounted, that can be activated to provide intelligence. It will always be easier to destroy a _whatever_velocity aircraft with an equally _whatever_velocity interceptor. There is no scenario where a low alt. hypersonic recon platform would be an advantage over a small low and slow drone. In anything less than war, a hypersonic will be busting someone's airspace and become its own casus belli.
