  1. Yeah... no. The reasons why the Arab states didn't/won't accept the Palestinians is because doing so would accept the status-quo, the fait accompli, of the State of Israel. As long as there are displaced people who count as "refugees" and territories within Israel remain disputed and "occupied", they have a claim and rational to reject Israel's existence, legally and physically. This is why they provide billions in aid each year to maintain completely economically unsustainable "refugee camps" the size of cities in Gaza, the West Bank, and in Lebanon. It is also why they keep supplying and promising military support to the Palestinians because it costs Israel far more to maintain security than it costs them. They don't care if it creates untold misery as long as it annoys the Israelis. The Abraham accord would have done nothing to really change that. Iran is really just competing with Arab states for "leadership" in the Muslim world. They aren't worried at all about being "surrounded". Their game is to gain influence with the "Muslim street" and undermine the Saudis. As usual, the Palestinians are just pawns in that game.
