  6. The problem is its a singularity event horizon. For either side to get its goal, means the annihilation of the other. There aren't enough moderates on either side running things, who have the will, motive, and intelligence to find a compromise that is workable. Otherwise its just the same kabuki theatre that has been going on for the past 50 years.

  25. There are probably few if any army forces positioned in the region that could oppose him. All the units there are deployed against Ukraine. Not even the various internal security troops could respond to was is effectively one of Russia's most capable divisions suddenly turning against it and doing its own thing. But. The Northern and Western military districts each have many units that were not committed to Ukraine, that if Wagner had approached Moscow would have deployed against him. Most likely this "deal" was to stop the very embarrassing distraction from trying to win this whole clusterfuk of a war.

But the Arabs, and now Iranians, have an interest in keeping the conflict alive to annoy Israel, so they keep paying their Palestinian lap dogs, to talk their fools to keep throwing their lives away and only give the people enough money to produce the next generation of fools, instead of building a country or stable government.
