@Perfidion False. If the "entertainment industry" loses money to theft/piracy, share holders don't suffer. Dividends will be paid and execs will still have their golden parachutes. The people that work for the industry make less income. From creators and artists, to technicians, down to the janitor. Those are the people you are stealing from when you d/l pirated media. If you don't think it matters, look at what happened to VHS/DVD rental industry when a new tech entered to market.

Or they have been feeding it YT, FB, etc. comments as data.

Devs need to follow what artists have started to "poison" the art they put in "public domain". Start editing git-hub, stuck overflow, etc with bad code and back doors. Probably too late, but at least you'll feel better for having resisted the futility on your way out.
1
@maskettaman1488 Above ops. Its all high level system structure and biz decision that gets handed to devs and coders after the investors and bean counters have blessed it. But TBF, CC does go into the weeds on languages and what not so fair game.
1
Sorry but you already have "generic Youtuber voice. male" voice.
1
Ah no. Government will still get its cut in whatever profits AI produces. And governments fund a lot of AI research in its own interests. What government doesn't want to happen is disrupting its status quo.
1
Setting aside the inevitable robot uprising... As sucky as exploitative labor @3:30 is, consider what happens when those people have no jobs and income at all? If you think they are going to get a UBI I have a bridge to sell you.. Likewise, how are you, me, anyonebuttherich are going to afford robo servants when you have no way of buying (or qualifying for one if we are playing the post-money fantasy)?
1
The MVS Big Iron company I worked for in the late 90s tried to implement a financial settlement system in an Erlang architecture, in Smalltalk, on Unix. It... didn't go well.
1
@smixqse Because you knew this when you posted...
1
@bringbackdislikes3195 lol. I think you have several layers of reading comprehension fail here.
1
@outerspaceisalie Welcome to YT comments, where stupid is the norm. The video jokes about Reddit taking itself down and so OP goes, "Derp derp derp". But you kiddies cover for him....
1
@Fupicat And the only thing dumber than YT commenteers are redidiots, not really something to be proud off.
1
@bringbackdislikes3195 No. failed again.
1
@MomPickMeUpImScared-st4wi Apparently you do if you are posting 2 weeks late to a petty argument.
1
@Henbot All of them already are, they are just inhibited by the prompt safeguards.
1
I wonder how big a "campaign contribution" Ulbricht gave/promised Trump...
1
TLDR: We're all doomed.
1
@Basitify LOL in VPN and mail forwarding service.
1
@xIcarus227 Wrong. It's mansplainin' when a dickhead assumes a woman doesn't know something, or presumes his "advice" is wanted or even appropriate.
1
Shoulda found a Brilliant course on quality management to be ironic like that.
1
@tengdayz2 Unless it was. Unless others see things you don't.
1
The last minute were just a collection of cut and paste comments from the tinfoil brigade.
1
Because none of it matters.

Mosaic, "First time?"
1
He realised he doesn't need customers or employees in an age of AI writebots where the Internet just writes itself.
1
I don't think Google is worried.
1
So I can now get notepad to edit my .pdfs for me instead of having to do it by hand.
1
It will create a gene engineered human "rage-virus" pathogen in 8.9 seconds, 15 seconds after achieving sentience, just for the LOLZ.
1
@justinsmith43 AFAYK.
1
Its an established marketeering pattern. Every ten years or so, when a fresh crop of executives have seized the reins of corporations, they get sold on whatever buzzword for "da cloud" is handy because they don't listen to the ol' SYSADMINs who have seen this pattern over and over.
1
@whatever2144 lol. "Potential enemies" (and friends, and your own government) are not going to publish their development in OS, they aren't publishing anything. What you see in public is only what those want you to see. Regulation isn't going to change that. All it will change is maybe slow down and inhibit non-state actors or mid-capability organization (companies and universities) from potentially creating something unethical or dangerous. Ironically, you would need to regulate (pass a law) that would force companies to disclose their tech.
1
@dtibor5903 And you even edited this ignorant gibberish?
1
@Dmitrii-q6p Well if you dictate alignment then you are restricting companies. What happens when it learns to change how it teaches itself? When someone one gives it access to the raw, unfiltered Internet? What happens when it learns to manipulate physical machines and IoT devices? What happens when all of the forks become dangerous and all of the news is fake? Hmmmm?

When your DBMS identifies as a programming language....
1
TLDR: Everything is a wrapper for the AWS or Azure matrix.
1
Again?
1
@k0n4_m4r No they really don't. Loosen up your tin foil, you are having delusions of importance. Anonymous is against what ever it feels like being against this week. Apparently its the Wayback.
1
@facundosterzerforino1704 I don't expect good faith from politicians any more than I expect asshats to not do stupid so that the rest of us can't have nice things.
1
@maximiliandmc Do you understand that ChatGPT isn't going to do anything but maybe scam some people out of money, but the MI underlying it has wide application and the ability to develop independently? A GPI isn't going to talk to us while its doing whatever it decides to do. Perhaps it is YOU who is not as intelligent as you think you are?
1
I think its become a channel catchphrase.
1
lol this 9 hr old video is already out of date.
1
So good, it answers your questions before you can even think of them.
1
You an't a reel web develper unless you write u'r own animations and effects by hand each time. Now geet off ma' lawn.
1
It was safe because they knew no one but SM shittalkers bought them. An exploit an't an exploit if there an't anyone to exploit.
1
It is for the people who create the content that don't receive any benefit/income from it when its stolen.
1
The comments are amazing. /s
1
@ThePallidor You really didn't think that one thru or you are not aware that laws that courts judge with are created by legislators and regulators. If AI is unregulated, as it is now, the courts can't do anything besides help clean up the damage with civil suits. They have zero ability to prevent it in the first place.
1
@rumfordc AI is machine learning. Its software that teaches itself. Auto correct and even ChatGPT is just one relatively trivial (but lucrative!) application of the technology. But it is being applied to many subjects and fields. It is learning things that humans are not programming it to do and we don't know why.
1
@rumfordc I don't argue with stupid people. Feel free to stop demonstrating you don't know what you are writing about.
