  169. Colon used to be very safe in the 60s and 70s. As a Merchant Seaman back then we used to anchor awaiting our turn to transit the canal on our way to Vietnam. Colon was safe and interesting. I do remember a restaurant call the Alhambra that had the best filet mignon I had ever eaten. They also had an excellent shrimp salad.
