I don't see a Turbo (Toyota is using these engines more often now) vs. a NA engine lasting as long even with Port & Direct fuel injection. I'd rather see NA engines with a non-plug-in hybrid with Port & Direct fuel injection. To go a step further, a built in fuel system cleaner. Keep the treatment reservoir filled, park the vehicle outside, driver has to remain in the vehicle & start the process via the infotainment system. Catalytic converter treatments should also be recommended as part of regular maintenance.

Hybrid - Low inventory (should double in 2024), ADM's, and the Toyota port loves to add on the crap. I'd wait for a 2024 Hybrid if you want one.

@vg3430 Factor in the time to pay & wait in line. I use either Sam's Club or Costco & I rarely ever can just pull up to a pump.

@vg3430 Also factor in having to wait in line to get to the pump. I tend to get gas at Sam's Club or Costco (best prices) which sometimes requires me to wait in line even to get into the pump lane lines. I pass stations with empty pumps all of the time with bloated prices (even cash only). I'll wait in line to save money.

You pay way more in interest based on today's MSRP than you did then. Your down payment is much higher. You start from $0 & it's up to you to fill in the rest and today that number is much larger assuming you make enough to cover that inflated difference. Inflation also leads to having less disposable income. The "features" on your new vehicle adds to your monthly insurance rates.
