  1. Very misleading news reporting. Insurance is based on your zip code, age, driving history (years driven, accidents, tickets, claims), miles driven per year. A Model X, a Model 3 or Y is more comparable to a Camry, Altima, & Escape. I will agree the nasty unknown is Tesla's tend to get totalled based on parts availability, severity of a crash, and if that battery was affected at all, and repair hours.
