  1. A lot of franchises suffer the same fate. The directors and showrunners of these projects just think the franchise is popular because it exists, when there is a lot of reasons WHY fans like it. They don't ask questions, or research, they just plaster the cover art and fill it with nonsense for "modern audiences" (whatever the fk that is)
