Having Asmon agree with RR Martin is a bit confusing, because I remember him loving the LoTR movies, but they are very different from the books (actually, I dislike the movies because how much they deviate from the original source material) but hey, here we are. Also, the GoT tv show was very different from the books as well, but I guess it's fine since it got he ok from RR Martin, oh well...not sure man, where do we draw the line in between source material and "movie adaptation"? In general I do agree, movie adaptations are always worse than the books. TV adaptations (serials) are a hit and miss.
