  1. This is nothing new. Every single sport event is a scam, and always leaves the communities where they happen in shambles. There is a ton of money funneled by special interest groups and politicians to their friends and associates to build these "sports" monstrosities and after that, it is left to the communities to upkeep. Of course this never happens and 9 out 10 times, these buildings are left as abandoned eye sores.
