  8.  @LesOuefsBrouillés  "Murder" is related to one human being killing another human being, moreso than the slaughter of animals or plants, so that's a questionable word in this instance. You're right about the purpose behind the destruction of that tree, and I hope we find out what the true intentions of that act were. The most chilling aspect of this is the mentality of the person(s) responsible for it. Maybe @TheWirewitch would like to respond to my question.

  9.  @TheWirewitch  You're absolutely right, and that's why there's a lot more to this whole scenario than a mere 16 year old nobody. The felling of that tree was a clear message to someone from whoever has a very strong gripe against them. Sadly, the tree may not even be directly relevant to this crime.
