  1. Oh dear, it's even more pathetic than I thought. Every country has the mickey taken out of them for one reason or another, but it's all just a lighthearted joke! I'm Irish, and when I first came to the UK in 1973 (aged 22), I was quite surprised at some British people's views of my country and its people. I'm sure most of you could guess what the main topic was at that time, but I didn't get offended and just put it down to ignorance. After all, sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.😉😊
