  1. This whole thing about reparations for slave-trading is so pathetic, and just another potential money-maker. For one thing, Simon, making comparisons between the UK and Ireland (or any other countries, for that matter) is neither here nor there. Secondly, the past is the past, and all these slaves are dead and gone. We can't pay them for it. It should all be left behind, without any grudges being held in the present day. History should be remembered, of course, and we are supposedly meant to learn by it.....if only!
