Racism is a double-edged sword.
The trouble with labelling someone as "racist" is that it can create a very Catch 22 situation. The more you accuse anyone of being something that they are not, the more likely they are to become that very thing.
Most of those who go out of their way to point the finger are, generally, from the minority groups. Not only that, but they are often either ill-informed, ignorant, or just downright biased troublemakers.
Yes, there are white racists, all of whom have no idea of WHY they are!
The vandalism doesn't really have much to do with Churchill as an individual or, for that matter, any of the other statues or memorials of those who are dead and gone. It has everything to do with the ignorance and stupidity of those who can't be bothered to think for themselves, are easily persuaded and indoctrinated, as well as taking pleasure in being "part of the gang".
