@amysands8925 "They" won't do anything to stop it. Only "We" can do that.

I'm an Irishwoman, Gary. Make sure your girls carry mace, black pepper, or something similar in their pockets.

@rogershore3128 RTÉ is the BBC of Ireland.

@cymro6537 One sunny day (around 1972), I saw Phil standing outside Bailey's with a pint in his hand. I asked him what he was doing, and he replied "Just gettin' a sun tan." The last time I saw him (around 1982/3) at a recording studio in NW London, he looked dreadful. I was shocked and horrified, as he was so out of it he didn't even recognise me. RIP, Phil🥀🥀🥀🥀☘

Even the Black & Tans would be jealous.

Do you remember John Lennon's song "If You Had The Luck Of The Irish, You'd Wish You Were English Instead"? (I'm Irish, but never agreed with that).

Those were the good days. All the best for 2023.☘

In that case, I presume RTÉ will follow suit.

Wake up, William.

Simon isn't as narrow-minded as you are, Robert.

Albanians are not refugees, they are just drug-smuggling gangsters, and criminals of the worst kind.

Ní fhéadfaidh do chustaiméir a bheith fíor-Éireannach mura raibh sé ag iarraidh teanga a thíre a fhoghlaim. Is Éireannach mé, agus beidh sé sin i gcónaí, is cuma cén áit ar domhan ina bhfuilim. (Irish Gaelic)

Silence can be a dangerous warning.

Try looking outside the box, Noel. There's no point in trying to blame history on the current dilemma of our country. The Catholic church did a lot more damage to Ireland than the English ever did. Fact.

Ireland is a small island in comparison to other countries in the world. Do your maths.

"hurtful or destroyer" in Irish Gaelic = díobhálach nó millteach. What is your name?

Hi, Patrick. I've seen this rhetoric about cheap labour many times, but I don't see the logic of it. Comparing a salary in Ireland (or the UK) to a salary in Nigeria doesn't make any sense to me (although I'm not an economist), because living costs in these countries vary a great deal, e.g. it costs a lot more to live in the UK than it does in Nigeria. Therefore, social welfare (which is paid for by the taxpayer) will still empty the pot which, in turn, will reduce the number of taxpayers. Seems like a Catch 22 to me, like giving a little and taking a lot.🤔🥴

Civil war is the only solution for Ireland, and the UK.

Funny how many Catholic priests ignored that when it came to schoolboys. Fact.

Sadly, Phil couldn't even recognise his own face in the mirror near the end of his life. RIP, Phil🥀🥀🥀☘

They're either dead or too old to do anything.

Governments never allow votes on anything that may weaken their power. Voting is a fallacy. Brexit is a perfect example, because the majority who voted to leave did so because of BoJo's fake promises to control and reduce the influx of immigrants, and....................................................................

Religion and politics have always gone hand in hand, and the Catholic church is vile.

@igorderrico111 No point in responding to Bob La Sigh, as he's just a nasty little troll with nothing between his ears. Just ignore him, because he doesn't like that.

The Vatican is only interested in power and money. It takes one to know one.
