  3. What's the point in having a death penalty if it's not carried out within a fairly short time afterwards? Many of those on Death Row often see out their lives before the execution eventually takes place.

Colt was a very smart and intelligent boy who, unfortunately, didn't have any source of outlet by which he could use that mental energy. His ability to handle anything that came his way, as well as his willingness and determination to learn new things from scratch, is a talent that many would envy. I'm glad he survived, and that he never harmed anyone. I hope his future is full of adventure.

  11. I had a very dangerous and nasty neighbour for three full years before I could gather enough evidence to finally have her evicted just a few weeks ago. However, it will take me at least a year to get over my horrendous experiences, and learn to relax again. To be honest, I was getting close to wanting to kill her but, fortunately for her, it's not in me to harm anyone.

The US will be obliterated, and the rest of the world will be a mere shell of itself. Humankind is and always has been a self-destructive creature that is far too greedy for its own good. What's the point in some bureaucratic moron on the parole board, who has no idea of what or who they're making a decision about, putting pen to paper and writing "Safe for release"??!!!?? There'd be more chance of them getting it right if they used a lucky dip!!! Any apologies by the authorities are just empty words, and a total insult to those who have died or suffered from the consequences of their appallingly inadequate system run by brainless idiots..............   20.  @madmick9205  I agree with what you've said, Michael, but there's a Catch 22 in that as well. ".....98% should be better supported" Maybe so, but I wouldn't put such a high percentage on that. ".....the 2% need to (be) better identified" They do, indeed, but this is where the parole boards are failing abysmally. It's not just a straightforward matter of someone killing someone else, and putting "murderers" all in the same basket, it has far more to do with why and how. Without going into a lengthy list, if someone kills in self-defence or accidentally, or even without any premeditation, there is some hope in reformation. However, those who kill, literally just because they feel like it, are the ones who should never be let out. It seems to me that the parole boards, etc, are just putting the same label on all killers, and that's so wrong. Anyway, stay safe and well, wherever you are. Patricia.
