  1. You've reminded me of my first driving lesson. I did so well that my father told me to go ahead and turn off the road and through the gateway onto the driveway. I didn't know anything about giving the car a wide berth, and ended up scraping the whole side of the car against the gatepost. My father gasped, I stopped the car and got out and ran to my bedroom fast. I'm 71 now, and can still remember that day like it was yesterday. Dad didn't give me a hard time, btw.
