  1. Foreign Chinese buyers also inadvertently caused a massive increase in homelessness in America. How? Their high demand of luxury properties in the U.S. caused developers to buy up previously affordable areas to demolish and replace with high end homes (its called "Gentrification"). Result: it drove these people into the streets or into their cars to live. Others move to other States, which drove up home prices there. That is the root cause of today's housing bubble nation-wide. If the U.S. and China ever get into a war, you can bet that these investors from China will all dump their properties into the market. That will completely collapse the housing market where they bought at - NYC, California, Washington State, etc. Not to mention in other countries like Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, etc.

  2. What do snakes do when cornered with no way out? The West has been trying to contain China by de-coupling from them. This is crippling their economy, which could trigger China to strike back.
