@mng1110 BTW, the first VinFast cars will be in U.S. customers hands by end of this year (2022).
One of them has my name on it.
Because I am an early adopter, I get $3,000 off PLUS the State of California will cut me a check for $2,500 cash.
Not only that, the Biden administration just announced that to qualify for the $7,500 Federal tax write-off, an EV must be made in America.
The first batch of VinFast EVs will NOT qualify for this $7,500 tax break so you kn9w what VinFast will do?
They will cover that $7,500 for early adopters like me - that is how much they stand behind their customers.
The VinFast VF8 MSRP is $40,700 but if I subtract the above incentives, it will only cost me $27,700.
$27,700 for a midsize SUV similar in size to the Tesla Model Y.
I own the Tesla Model X since 2016 (Tesla Early Adopter too!), and I must admit that the VinFast has better handling (although the Tesla still has better acceleration).
The VinFast also looks better because it was designed by Pininfarina (some Ferraris were designed by them).
