That's like cavemen saying there is no way possible to talk to someone on another continent because THEY could barely talk to someone across a hill even when they scream at the top of their lungs. The fact is, even with our CURRENT understanding of Physics, it IS POSSIBLE to travel vast distances in a short period of time. How? Einstein ALREADY laid out his Theory of Relativity which says: The stronger the source of gravity and the closer you are to it, the slower time passes for you. Ah hah! That could be used to travel anywhere in the universe. How? If we know how to reduce gravity or turn it off completely, then we can slow the passing of time or stop it altogether. That means we can go anywhere in the universe without losing time, doesn't matter how far!
