  1. The push for everyone to go to college began around the 1980's to keep young adults from entering the workforce too soon and push the Baby Boomers out. Historically, only 14% of the population possess a college degree, which coincides with the persentage of workers in management. Therefore, the economy can only support 14% college grads.
