We are talking about a revolution not unlike the overthrow of monarchies throughout human history. Today's monarchy are the owners of big corporations that make up only 4% of our society, yet own over 80% of all the resources. No different than the days of Kings and Queens....and we all know what happened to that system.

  7. If all cops are this honest, OJ would've been convicted of murder and Chauvin would've been corrected long before he killed Floyd. When my wife was a college student, she was stopped for supposedly speeding. When the cop handed her the ticket he attached a note with his personal phone number to call him (wink, wink). She didn't. Instead, she showed up to traffic court and paid her ticket.

Illegals have been allowed in because they benefit industries that want cheap labor with no benefits (i.e. farming) So if we want to stop illegals from coming in, we need to tax the industries that hire these illegals. Cost of produce will go up, you say? We have robots that can pick strawberries and perform other farming duties now. Invest in those technologies will be cheaper in the long run than letting illegals in. Robots don't commit crimes, take up healthcare, and suck off social programs.

  11. Ā @sharonwolfe5210Ā  I saw this coming way back in the mid-1980's when I studied Sociology in college. All Empires must eventually come to an end to be replaced by another. The Roman Empire had a 1,000 year run. The British Empire ruled for 400 years. The American Empire dominated since the end of WWII - a 75 year run. Note that each successive Empire lasts less and less. And guess who's the growing global might in political, economic, and military today? That is the next global Empire.

  12. Ā @sharonwolfe5210Ā  How would being educated in math and science (our school system) "garner us a mastery in knowing and understanding ourselves"? And therein lies the root of our problem. Indeed, technological advancement is often INVERSELY proportional to moral advancement - notice that? And today's so-called education is really nothing more than indoctrination into becoming corporate slaves. In other words, people go to school to learn a skill to get a job, don't they? Hence, highly schooled does not necessarily mean highly educated. And that is precisely by design so that we do not have the ability to figure out how we are being enslaved. In the days of Royalty, they managed to convince the people that the reason why they were in charge and deserve all the wealth was because God ordained them. Today, the people in charge of our society know they can't use the same lie. So, they set up a social system that had us believe that they deserve all the wealth and power because they are smarter than we are (Ivy League education)....and if only we could be as smart or work as hard, we are free to be rich too. Sure there are a few rags to riches cases but the vast majority of us won't make it. If our society is truly a meritocracy, then how come the same percentage of elites (4%) control over 80% of the wealth...just like during Feudal times? In fact, notice that in any regime - Feudalism, Socialism, Communism, AND Capitalism, the few on top gets most of the wealth. This is why all Empires must come to an end - because they all exploit the mass. All the political- economic systems are just lies to keep people from overthrowing the liars on top.....until they figure out. Then, heads roll and the remaining elites just come up with another lie to pull the same exploitation on the mass until next time. This is why people are angry today. They may not know what I just told you but they could sense that they are being screwed.
