  1. Being a retired military officer myself, I can see why Dietrich is so apprehensive about telling her story but not Fravor. First off, a military officer who retires after 20 years of service should be at the rank of Cdr (O-5) like Fravor, not O-4 like Dietrich. Dietrich had 200 combat missions under her belt so she should've retired as an O-5. Looks like she's already being punished for talking about this. That is why she is so nervous during these interviews - what else are they going to do to her? I heard she's now an instructor at the Naval Academy so she is still with the government but in a GS capacity. On the other hand, Fravor was already an O-5 so he's not afraid to speak out.....and he is not employed by the government anymore so he is not afraid.
