But according to the Simulation Hypothesis (and the Double Slit Experiment) things don't exist until the observer collapses the wave function. In other words, like a computer game, scenes are not rendered until the player steers his view to the scene. That means, other universes do not exist until a conscious observer looks at it. Therefore, multiverses only exist as potentials at any one time.

Individual humans may only live to around 80 but the human species could live for eons (if we don't destroy ourselves!) Hence, our species accumulates ever-increasing knowledge over time.

@anonomouse1215 The Double Slit Experiment seems to suggest so. Indeed, the entire branch of Physics known as Quantum Mechanics says it does - for over 100 years now! Max Planck said it does: "There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. . . . We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter." Niels Bohr, Werner Heisenberg, and the rest of the Copenhagen Interpretation crew thought so. The latest Delayed Choice Quantum Eraser experiment using modern equipment also confirmed so.

@SIM2014 Ah...Dr Quantum, right?😃

@Sharperthanu1 Which universe to see or which universe to experience? Can your soul leave your body now to see another universe or does it wait for your body to die then go to another universe?

How about using CRISPR to destroy Covid19 and immunize all humans against every kind of bad virus? Sure beats Mercury-laced vaccines that have been known to sicken and even kill some people.

The neurons in our brain may fire electrical signals but that does not prove that those signals produce consciousness.....anymore than the electrical impulses in our cell phone indicates that it generated a YouTube video. The YouTube video came from the Internet, not our phone. Perhaps our consciousness came from the Universe's Internet and that our brain is like a cell phone that displays that consciousness. The Universe's Internet is what humans called "God".

We can't even define exactly what intelligence is or where it came from, much less create true intelligence. Even so, AI could still be very dangerous because it is cold and calculating. I think through studying and creating AI, they will finally realize there's a reason why nature must also equip humans with emotional intelligence in addition to logical intelligence. We already see the bad consequences of computer nerds making social decisions that took away our Constitutional rights to free speech. Now, it back fired against them as governments such as India Ministry ordered them to censor violent farmer protests, or go to jail. Calculating nerds think their decisions are correct because it is logical but it has consequences they can't foresee - and some went against them in the end. AI will be the same way.

Contracting space in front of the spacecraft to travel was what Bob Lazar described how UFOs flew way back in 1987. Not only that, he also described the existence of an Element 115. Today, science finally caught up and name it "Moscovium". Lastly, Lazar said, gravity is a wave and recently researchers detected gravitational waves in deep space. Mainstream science labeled Lazar a quack back then. But how did he know all that? He made it up and just by coincidence, all 3 were true? It's more likely he did work on UFOs, which means UFOs are real flying craft not from this world (otherwise, that technology would've been commonplace by now).

@Sharperthanu1 According to Occam's Razor, "entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity". So, it would be unnecessary for the Cosmic Computer to calculate a scene when no consciousness is looking. It's POTENTIAL universes until some consciousness looks. If no consciousness looks, those universes are not rendered (even though the software to simulate those scenes already exists - just like human created computers). The simplest explanation is probably the correct one.

Humanity cannot survive much longer so long as the top 2% control over 80% of earth's resources no matter how technically advanced we are.

Ok, try defining what intelligence is. Now, create what you can't even define.

No, Neil, it's no longer just lights in the sky that people see. The U.S. Navy recorded these strange flying objects using the most advanced military grade sensors in the history of humankind - radar, infrared, optical, and sonar. These sensors verified these objects 1) exist in physical reality 2) display flight characteristics not understood by humans, and 3) respond when approached. If you deny evidence, you are no better than religious fanatics who believe without evidence. You believe without evidence that these strange flying objects don't exist at all. That is not science, is it?
