@michaelpatrick1236 They should be controlled substances but without the politicians involved. This so called opioid crisis began when Obama and his Leftist peeps had control of the White House. They used a broad brush to label the heroin / fentanyl problem as the opioid epidemic. The DEA is now telling Pain Management Doctors how to do their jobs and those who need opioid based pain medications are being cut off or they aren't on a proper dose for their problems... even cancer patients have been abused by the medical profession now out of political correctness. Opioid medications should remain by RX only but the pendulum needs to swing back towards the right.

There's Oxycontin and there's Oxycodone. Which do you refer? And what about chronic pain patients? Let them suffer? Think twice. You might get a chronic disease in time.

@michaelpatrick1236 When you think about it... opium comes from the poppy... like cannabis sativa comes from hemp. It's a naturally occurring substance and unlike other non-steroidal substances, they've been around for 100 + years.

Yes, I especially hated $ money when my Soulmate died and I realized she married an old nasty fart 20 years older than her because he had the money, power and prestige. Money doesn't buy happiness but neither does poverty. Remember when Jesus asked Lazarus if he would be poor for Him? Go sell all you have and follow Me? Lazarus couldn't do it. He was too happy with his wealth. Money cost me years of grief and heartache because I didn't have it. It's a double edged sword that cuts both ways... and as Rod Stewart would say.. The First Cut is the deepest.
