Opioid abuse is too broad a brush. The truth is that America has a Heroin and Fentanyl epidemic. Stop victimizing cancer and other chronic pain patients by lumping them in with the heroin and fentanyl addicts.

@Dcacoustic13 Wrong. They are not adequately prescribed the medications for their pain levels and they are not monitored properly for other things like alchohol. Before the open borders and the Chinese markets of Fentanyl, we had no opioid epidemic. These pain medications have been around since the days of the Old West and Doc Halliday. Some of these opioid medications also help people breath.

@Dcacoustic13 Wrong again. I do know what I'm talking about. I had two Loved Ones die from Throat and Colon Cancer in 2019. My Son wasn't given enough opioid based pain medications for his pain early on until he was diagnosed with Stage 4 of the disease and NO contract was needed with his Cancer Pain. Management Specialist. Back in 2002, I lost my Wife from Breast Cancer. So I know the games here. One other little tip, since Obamacare, they took the "care" out of healthcare. Our hospitals are now eugenics minded with some of their solutions.

@Dcacoustic13 Nope. I don't agree with you on that either. My wife also slipped on ice one Winter and shattered her tailbone and developed a stenosis in her neck. She was on percocet for years to manage the pain. The Tens Unit and alternative pain cures including medical marijuana didnt help her. In those days, the Doctors realized chronic pain affects your body and all the organs, causing high blood pressure and depression. Today. Most are afraid to treat pain patients correctly because of political correctness.

@Dcacoustic13 Oxycontin is not the same medication as Oxycodone. Oxycodone has been successfully used for long term chronic pain management.

@radicallymoderateryan9362 Ever wonder how healthcare insurance companies can successfully guess how long a terminally ill patient will spend in a hospice unit but the Doctors don't have any idea how long a patient shall live that accurately? Eugenics have been practiced in the USA for decades.
