If English is not your first language then please understand that when referring to a group of people the word “they” or “them” would be proper. The word “it” refers only to an object in the English language and thus the context here is crystal clear . When Mr. Silverstein said “it” he was not referring to a group but an object . The object was the subject of his discussion ; Building 7. I hope the time I’ve spent here benefits you in your own conversations with English speaking people
