Europe's fate was decided a long time ago, back in the 1800s. The year that the population of the US grew larger than of western Europe, their relevance was doomed. After two suicidal wars and international backstabbing, the continent is a joke that survives on the willingness of other nations to carry their water because of feelings. When those nations finally wake up and say goodbye, Europe is screwed.

@captainvanisher988 Do any of our neighbors to the south spend, or have a reason to spend, the amount that we do on military budgets? No, they don’t. And cutting public programs will only last so long until a tax revolt occurs and the whole system fails.

LOL, the moment Euros start trying to fund a continental military the price tag is going to make people have to choose between healthcare and trains or guns and rockets. Militaries are never cheap, and the Americans have been carrying the water for Europe for long enough while being mocked by them for not having the toys and bennies they did. NATO without the US equals Euros with a permanent fiscal crisis.
