Carolina Contreras While it is admirable that he is polyglot and well spoken, it alone is not a guarantee that world opinion will improve. The world outside of the USA will likely always be caustic to its presence; electing an affable character will not change a thing. Obama was “a nice guy” too.

John-Daniel Munoz Large businesses like Amazon have many options at their disposal when it comes to choosing where to locate. Part of the process is that the business that can bring the most benefit to a location is going to get multiple offers from different places to sweeten the deal for them. That’s how it works. A tax break is merely an incentive to attempt to attract more businesses. What NY offered in the competition was peanuts compared to what would have been gained. NY literally had won a golden ticket, then threw it away. All for political correctness. Bear in mind also that other employers who previously wanted to come to NYC are now reassessing their moves because of this.

Abdulrahman Saleh Remember something very important about G. W. Bush. He was a deer in the headlights during that first week, completely surprised and shell shocked by what had happened. He was not a good president at all in the sense that he failed to take the initiative and respond accordingly until over a year later, and against the wrong opponent. Had Trump been president that day, the American response would have been delivered in hours, not years.

R Lo The last guy to throw a shoe at a President was beaten to death by the Iraqi police.

They did it all wrong. They put it too far away from the terminal, and never built an express track. They will never get the ridership that they project.

Teresa R Every American is a devout Christian when it comes to the spending of other peoples money, but when it comes to their own every American is a Jew.

Think about it. All the construction workers who would have been forced to receive pay checks for building the HQ. Gone. All of the realtors who would have had to make commissions of of sales to Amazon employees. Gone. All the local businesses in the area who have been forced to make more money off of the employees nearby. Gone. All the maintenance workers who could have been put to work fixing the subways paid for by a new tax infusion into the city coffers. Gone. I could go on forever about the knock on effects of this, but it would not change a thing. Let’s give praise to Mike Gianaris and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez for a job well done! Now no one will have to suffer the burden of having too much pay in NYC! Right...?

Samo1o14 Carter has zero chance of being re-elected in 1980. He presided over multiple crises at the same time, and had no solutions to them that made sense to the public. You can judge presidents in two ways-how many administrations they are elected to and whether the next elected president continues their policies or not. By this measure, Carter was the Democratic version of George Bush Sr.-a failure as president.

NPC 10048 orangebad Oh, I agree completely. Bush let the Saudi royals fly out of the USA while all other flights were grounded because they were terrified that there was going to be anti Islam and Arab race riots throughout the country. Bush was a traitor.

Jay Clawwit Lines like that play very well to the majority of the public who are suspicious of foreign language speakers as having malicious intent.

Trump speaks a dialect of American English known is Kings English, or Brooklynese. While it recognized as a regional dialect, it is not always acceptable to others due its differences in tone and grammar.
1
Rix Sugarman The problem is it that EVERYONE from where he hails speaks the same as he does. Through media, it is a dialect that is recognizable to most Americans as a “tough guy” dialect which makes him even more admirable. This is a very serious problem for anyone hoping to challenge Trump in 2020. Speak the peoples language or be trampled. In addition, do not speak the languages of any group that is hated or mistrusted. It will be used as a weapon.

Giuseppe Pandolfo If your goal is to see the USA “respected” again, you will be sorely disappointed. The rest of the has never, and will never give the USA a fair shake.

Teresa R Jesus was a great man, but the fan clubs set up after him really were not good.

Yesid Antonio Every time an empire has fallen in history, nothing but chaos and degeneracy followed. It is different this time, though. Far more dangerous. And FWIW, 1492 is a joke. Euro-Berber corsairs were “visiting” North America and the Caribbean long before Columbus, and raised hell with the Mississippian culture so bad that they were dying out from disease before Columbus even asked for funding from the Spanish monarchy. The whole “Columbus discovered the new world” thing is a joke.

Don’t eat too much. Morgues in Europe are reporting now that most of the non smoker victims are fatties with their weight up top on their chests.

Drew Littell If this were the flu, I might agree with you. But this isn’t. This is a freaking military bio weapon created by the PLA that got released by accident. Everything about it is meant to cause the maximum harm and fear. We must destroy it at all costs. As Trump said, we are at war.
