  3. Yes and no. Health care is not an industry that lends itself well to multipolar competition. Like communications or aircraft manufacturing it is prone to fall into an oligopoly over time. Once that happens, prices will always go up unless government intervention takes place but in a nation that is terrified of too much government control this will never happen.
