In the US it is not a big deal though common descent from colonial era families is starting to become more frequent. We all HAVE to have some inbreeding in our families in order to fit into the ancient demographics, but it should always be limited and non repeating. A first cousin marriage once in 300 years is not going to harm the overall descendants.
