  3.  @M0J0-RL236  Bullshit. It would be one measly corridor that serves one route out of each city and very few in between. There would be only one company allowed to provide service unlike in Europe, which means unless the tickets are subsidized the price will be prohibitive.

  4. That is wrong. Southwest hates the northeast, and serves it only to represent. Northeasterners are the worst passengers, and the crappy airports and weather there screw up their business model.

  5.  @Ponchoed  Southwest got expensive because employee costs matured. Employee pay is the true killer of low cost airlines because once you start hearing demands for more pay, the business model blows up. Spirit got to where it is based on low pay, but now that they are forced to pay more, they are losing more. Cheap tickets are a cheat.

  7.  @wessouthflorida7026  Brightline is technically not subsidized, and technically is making money, but the others are on the dole, state or federal. It is still a good idea to have the service, because FL highways are a sick joke.
