  3. Globalism. The allies were using it against the USA and now the chickens have come home to roost. The two worst things the USA ever agreed to are NAFTA and China's MFN status. It killed the USA, and now the only way to clean up the wreckage is with austerity measures. Isolate, cut back, rebuild. China must find another market to sell in, Mexico must look inwards at themselves, Europe has to find unity without the USA bankrolling it.

  5. The Canadian peso is going down fast. If the Euro maintains parity with the US dollar, you are not going to be able to sell European cars in Canada without massive subsides. Which could trigger something much worse.

  6.  @James-lt3so  Where on earth are they going to sell them? If you think that China and Europe are going to magically agree to allow Canadian built auto imports, you are fantasizing. There are some African nations that might be interested in it, but everyone else is going to circle the wagons and say "no thanks, we've got our own."
