You mean like records being "discovered" all of a sudden?

Gaza.

@simplifity9522 You leave it behind everywhere. There is no way to stop somebody else from getting it if they want to get it.

If a criminal drops so much as an eyelash or drinks a bottle and leaves it behind at a crime scene, they are toast. People don’t understand just how powerful a weapon against criminals familial DNA matching is. Once even one parental couple is identified through matching in a tree to a criminal’s DNA, the sand starts running out of the hourglass for them, even if the identified persons are from 200-300 years ago, because there’s only so many descendants possible and if it starts guiding towards the scene of the crime in any way, you’re looking at hours before the cops start following a perpetrator around looking to steal a sample of them.

@sambennett7606 It might be possible, but if there’s any data that runs contradictory to the place of the accused at the time of the murder, the case isn’t going to work. A gps record from a cellphone could counter the police argument, and the dna source is going to be questioned as well. It has to be something credible. Kohlberger left his spit behind on glassware that he also left his fingerprints on in the apartment, so he basically was begging to be caught.

Good.

@simplifity9522 The best way to protect your DNA identification is to know it in advance and recognize that you only own the totality of your DNA, not the individual components. Those are shared with thousands of other people, which means there is no owner and the police or anyone can do as they please with it. Your DNA is not what makes you unique, it is the particular combination that makes you unique.

@ShugaAnnSpyce Your freedom ends where someone else's oppression begins.

The cops aren’t using commercial DNA sites like 23&me or AncestryDNA. They are using Gedmatch, which is purely voluntary which means that if you get dinged by the cops, it’s because a relative of yours who doesn’t know you offered to help the cops nail you.

@kdndahouse3405 Only one guy with that name for the years surrounding his age, and he has a Dallas address in a known ghetto and only has a mom on his birth registry.

@ You know, there are many other ways for you to tell everyone you meet that you are a complete idiot.

@ Now that is quite interesting. But why would he have done that?

@MusicalDrewby BS, go and ride any mass transit system in Western Europe. It's no different than MARTA in ATL. Zoos on wheels.

Free market redlining. No blacks = high value. High value = no blacks. Homeowners and tax assessors have discovered the secret way to gentrify and reclaim cities. They just have to be careful not to end up like Chicago.
