It's easy to blame the drugs and availability of such for the drug problems America has, but it's also important to remember that addiction is found in the poor and rich alike, people in slums and in mansions. I think there is a deeper problem with our society. Powerful drugs have always been and will probably always be available. I don't have the answers, but it's a question worth asking. Why are we so drawn to escapism?
