  1. Why on earth would DVLA let people just look up random number plates and find out the vehicle's info. I wouldn't be surprised if people in the UK just look up random number plates, trying to track down random stranger's vehicles and attempt to steal the number plates. Or wanting the DVLA to deregister random stranger's vehicles.
