And in few years, I guess Germany will: 1. Remove toilets from every rest areas and service stations. 2. Introduce a law making vehicles breaking down illegal. 3. Drivers running out of fuel gets shot. 4. Force all drivers to pee at home, or pee in their pants while driving. 5. Equipping every gentry on Autobahn with machine guns that shoots people in cars for driving 1km/h over the limit. 6. Equipping spikes on every road marking. Germany is sure the strictest country in Europe.

@davidconner-shover51 "*When I was living in Germany, you were ticketed automatically for having a breakdown of any sort on the Autobahn"* If you entered the Autobahn and your car is a very good condition, but starts get into a mechanical failure 40 minutes later, you also automatically get a ticket for that, even if your car still has fuel left?

@AngelinaJolie734 Well use the hazards and coast until you find a section where the emergency lane starts. It's not a hard. Oh wait, it's apparently illegal to break down in Germany.

It's feels like everything is illegal in Germany. I understand why eating and drinking is illegal, but I guess it's also illegal to roll down your window or open your sunroof while driving in Germany? What next? Germany gets rid of all the toilets along every Autobahn in few year?

@pietergreveling Illegal to run out of fuel is one of the dumbest thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they gonna make it illegal for any vehicle to break down. I wonder if they gonna remove the toilets from every rest areas and gas stations in Germany one day? Germany is sure the strictest country in Europe. Also by the was, I wasn't trolling. I understand why things like eating/drinking, texting, being on the phone in illegal, but drinking coffee or soda while waiting on red lights or in traffic should be legal.

@pietergreveling If it's illegal to run out of fuel on the Autobahn, then Germany should make it illegal for all vehicles break down as well. Drivers do need to check their fuel gauge once a while. So according to you, 100% of Germany's population are stupid? That also means you're calling your own parents stupid. Also calling everyone "dumbasses" also makes you a dumbass. I guess you call all drivers "Nazis"? Of course you can't because Germany is one of the strictest country in Europe I know there's no traffic lights on the Autobahn, but there's traffic light in the city.

@darkredvan Always staying focused, keep your mind on driving doesn't only apply in Germany, these rules applies to everything in Europe. Of course Germany is the also country in the world that has no speed limits on certain sections, but 130km/h is still recommended. Germany also got weird laws like running out of fuel is illegal, or it's illegal to breakdown even you didn't run out of fuel. I also wouldn't be surprised if in new few years that Germany removes all the toilets from rest area and fuel station, forcing drivers to pee or poop their pants while driving.

Bold of you to assume that only Germans respect rules. There are many people outside Germany out respect rules, except for Americans.

@RZ-ey9jk Breakdowns are random, engine failures can happen at any point. While you can hope your car doesn't break down at sections without emergency lanes, but you can't control where the engine should break down at.
1
@53-herbie39 It would be funny if Germany implements a law where it's illegal for cars to break down.

@colinprice712 Better lane/driver discipline than most US drivers, most US drivers just hog the left lane instead of overtaking vehicles. I love how that drivers were taught to only overtake vehicles on the left lane, yet people can't the left lane incorrectly despite the fact they were taught to never hog the left lane.

@TheAirportfan What if your car's timing chain suddenly fails or small road debris or rock hits your windscreen, you also get a fine for that? Seems like Germany fine people for everything, even if they did something completely legal. So in the future, are Germany going to fine people for pissing their pants while driving?

I wouldn't be if Germany removes all the toilets from every service stations in next few years, forcing drivers to pee themselves or pee at home.
