That's how Americans pronounce it, my only explanation that Americans can't pronounce non-US car brand correctly. They also pronounce Porsche for "Porscha" Toyota was used to be Toyoda, but Americans seem to still pronounce "Toyoda" even though it's Toyota.

@Krenisphia I agree that most US market cars are uglier, despite the fact some of them are the same models as rest of the world, but US-spec models are still uglier. I'm glad that amber markers/reflectors aren't mandated in Australia and Europe, they're only permitted.

Mandatory amber turn signals and separated from the brake lights applies to everywhere in the world, except North America.

Yes, since all vehicles sold in the US are uglier compared the rest of the world. Vehicles sold US still require amber and red side markers, different front and rear lighting, different bumpers, still permits red turn signals, vehicles exceeding 79.9 inch (2,029 mm) must have five amber and red lights on the roof. Americans semi trucks and buses require more lights than European trucks and buses.

I find a lot of US market to be ugly because all have orange side markers on the headlamp unit or near the front wheel arch. During the 1970's and early 1980's, even European cars sold in the US had sealed beam headlamps and ugly larger and protrude farther from the bodywork, aka 5-MPH bumpers. Still to this day, many US market cars are still uglier compared the rest of the world. Vehicle sold US still require amber and red side markers, different front and rear lighting, different bumpers, still permits red turn signals, vehicles exceeding 79.9 inch (2,029 mm) must have five amber and red lights on the roof. Americans semi trucks and buses require more lights than European trucks and buses.

@MFFMPN If you think absolutely disgusting, why don't you go steal a fighter jet and fire missiles at tollbooth?

He presumably called it "ugly" just because it look very different to the US model.

Yet he called of the them "ugly" because they look different.

If you don't like the M1 and A1, then find another route instead of wishing death on the drivers on the M1 and construction workers on the A1.

Sometimes it feels like some Americans just call a certain car "ugly" because they look very different than the US model. Personally I think that Honda Civic looks better, it's the same styling as the European model. Plus it's a hatchback version, sedan version sold in Australia looks similar to the US version.
