Not just Germany, many European countries have signs on traffic light poles, the yield sign is only enforced if the traffic lights are out or flashing amber. When traffic lights flash amber, all traffic lights (except pedestrian signals as they're turn off) flashes amber at the same time on all sides. In Europe traffic lights aren't allowed to flash red. Flashing red is only used for movable bridges, level crossings, fire stations, airports or ferry terminals

It might be some sort of fast food like McDonald's or something. Drive-thru does exist in Europe, they're less common compared to North America.

@michaelnjensen I've only seen a drive-thru by Copenhagen airport, despite the fact the Airport isn't even in Copenhagen municipality.

@paulh.9526 The ⛔sign is indeed for the lanes to the right. It's a UK sign.

He didn't asked if he can pull in, he probably know it's illegal to pull in front of another car, it's also illegal in the US as well
